The Artist
About Tony Raz
I love tattooing. I run a private studio in Renton, WA, and every session is one-on-one — working together with you to bring your ideas to life.
I started in 2010 and have focused on black-and-grey portraits, but I also love doing traditional work and lettering.

How I work
The studio is private and appointment-only, so there are no walk-ins and no shared chair time. That setup is deliberate: it keeps each session unhurried and lets a portrait get the attention it needs. Black-and-grey work in particular rewards patience — the depth and contrast come from taking the time to build them up properly.
Most pieces start with a conversation. We talk through your idea, look at any reference you have, and decide on a size and placement that will let the tattoo read clearly and age well. For portraits, a sharp, well-lit photo makes a real difference in the result. I would rather tell you honestly up front how an idea will translate into black-and-grey than promise something that will not hold up over the years.
Whatever the piece — a portrait of someone who matters, a clean traditional design, or lettering that has to last — the standard does not change: do the work right, keep it clean, and make something you will still be glad you have a decade from now.
